When I was in the US Army and though college and my 20's and 30's I enjoyed working out, taking care of my health and music of course. Somewhere in my forties, like a lot of us I got in some bad habits, eating poorly, not working out, etc and was not taking care of my health.
My early fifties I made a half hearted attempt but when I turned 56 I challenged myself to get my health and fitness back and that year I decided to approach this like I would getting better at trumpet playng, study with a great teacher or in this case fitness / bodybuilding coach.
Just like practicing trumpet to get better my bodybuilding efforts, health, fitness, diet and exercise has paid off by cleaning up my diet and training with a plan and purpose. It has been a fun journey and my health has never been better. I am now 57 and all the things we measure our health by, blood pressure, cholesterol, fitness, I am feeling great.
This page I just want to share some of that as it is also a fun part of my life and in case it could be of help, motivation to others on the same journey.
